AHA BLS Initial Certification (Healthcare Providers)
The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Initial Course is intended for healthcare professionals who are taking BLS certification for the first time or whose certification has expired. This comprehensive course teaches participants how to perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, use an AED, relieve choking, and work effectively as part of a resuscitation team.
The course follows the latest AHA science and guidelines.

AHA BLS eCard Policy
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider eCards are issued only after successful completion of all course requirements, including:
- Full attendance for the entire class
- Active participation in hands-on skills practice
- Passing the required AHA skills assessments
- Passing the AHA written exam
eCards are digital certifications issued directly by the American Heart Association and are typically delivered via email within 24–72 hours after course completion.
Important Notes:
- eCards are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued
- Students must provide a valid email address to receive their eCard
- Lost or deleted eCards must be retrieved through the AHA student portal
- Failure to meet course requirements will delay or prevent eCard issuance
- Certification is valid for 2 years from the issue date

- Students may reschedule one (1) time with at least 24 hours’ notice
